Nestled next to a charming stream filled with ducks, the location was idyllic and just a stone's throw away from the bustling market square. the compact cottage had everything I needed for a relaxing weekend break, with a cozy sofa, flat-screen TV, and a dining area overlooking the serene river views. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area by hiking and cycling, immersing myself in the beautiful countryside surrounding the cottage. the convenience of being within walking distance to various pubs offering delicious food and takeaway shops made my stay even more enjoyable. the welcoming touch of a box filled with tea, coffee, and fresh milk was a thoughtful gesture that added to the overall coziness of the cottage. With easy access to nearby towns like Ripon, York, and Harrogate, there was plenty to see and do right on my doorstep. the abundance of books and board games provided in the cottage also made for a relaxing night in. the provided amenities such as towels, free toiletries, and a well-equipped kitchen made my stay comfortable and hassle-free. Overall, Duck Cottage provided me with a perfect balance of tranquility and convenience, making it a memorable and delightful stay. I would highly recommend this charming holiday home to fellow travelers looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of Thirsk.
